The Guardian has today given its editorial view on the General Election.
While in most places the paper supports Labour, in places like Southport, where the Labour Party have now drifted out to be 125-to-1 rank outsiders, the paper say:
” …the next Commons would be enhanced by the presence of Lib Dem MPs to insist on the political reform and civil liberties agendas – as they did, almost alone, over Edward Snowden’s revelations. the next Commons would be enhanced by the presence of Lib Dem MPs to insist on the political reform and civil liberties agendas – as they did, almost alone, over Edward Snowden’s revelations. Similarly, it would be good to hear Green voices in Westminster to press further on climate change and sustainability. Where the real constituency choice is between these parties and the Conservatives, ..we support a vote for them. “
