BOTHY FOLK CLUB 50 Years old
The Bothy Folk Club in Southport celebrates its 50th birthday this week and to help celebrate they have organised a free concert in the Wayfarers Arcade on Lord Street this Saturday 25th April
It features a host of local singers, dancers and musicians playing for an interesting
free concert starting at 11am till 12.30 pm and in the afternoon at 2pm till 4pm.
The Southport Swords and Argarmeles Dancers are performing along with the Southport Strings and resident singers from the folk club such as Clive Pownceby, Pete Rimmer, Nev Grundy, David Hirst, Bill Hackney, Chris and Siobhan Nelson, Ray Rooney and Bev Sanders. One time club regular Raphael Callaghan is also performing in what will be a great day of music.
It’s a free event and everyone is welcome to attend.
