The Learning Rooms awarded £375,000 grant.
The Learning Rooms which supports young people with learning difficulties has been awarded a £375,000 grant.
The Learning Rooms took of the four seasons garden centre in 2015 is one of 98 projects across the North West sharing £4,077,871 in the latest round of Big Lottery Fund awards.
Staff at the Learning Rooms support young people with learning difficulties who are disadvantaged through their disability, suffering from mental health problems or have struggled in mainstream education.
The non-profit making company was founded in 2013 and also provides a realistic working environment in catering, hairdressing, florist, arts and crafts as well as a number of weekly drama groups for people with additional needs to gain life, work and social skills.
A spokesperson for the Big Lottery Fund said: “This money will go towards their ‘Four Seasons’ project which will provide 150 people aged 14 and over with training, qualifications and work experience aimed at improving confidence, self-esteem and employment prospects, while reducing social isolation.
