The Allotment gin bar and restaurant officially opens Friday 16 June

The Allotment is coming to Birkdale Village.

The gin bar and restaurant is set to open in the former HSBC bank in Birkdale.

Birkdale will never be the same again after the brains behind one of the North West’s best bars opens its doors next week.

Allotment Birkdale, based on the incredibly popular Manchester Allotment Bar will open on June 16th with hundreds of people already vying to be on the guest list to what is billed as the best thing to hit the village in years.

The new bar will be the second Allotment to open, following the roaring success of the first site in Manchester’s fashionable Northern Quarter.

Allotment Birkdale has a large focus on gin, with around 100 gins making up the ‘gin journal’ – a bible of booze coveted by the best mixologists and cocktail creators this side of Formby.

There is also an extensive wine list with around 40 bins in the cellar and a modern cocktail menu including national competition winning rinks devised by the General Manager and Bar Manager.

The restaurant will be serving modern British food with a focus on local seasonal produce, and will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
