It’s Volunteers week and today we’re looking at the dedicated team who run our Charity Shop in Birkdale.
Like with the crew, the staff at the Shop including the Manager are all unpaid volunteers who do an excellent job raising the funds to both cover the annual running costs of the Lifeboat but to invest in new kit to improve the service we provide.
Most of the funds for the new Lifeboat Station currently being built have come from money raised through the shop.
Today, our thanks go out to the shop volunteers for all their efforts!
The Southport Lifeboat shop is on Everton Road in Birkdale and is open 6 days a week.
