Terror as fire breaks out at lakeside apartments

Fire crews and emergency services have rushed to a property on Bold Street near to Southport promenade following reports of a fire.

Emergency crews helped to evacuate the building on Bold Street after residents raised the alarm as thick black smoke began pouring out of the building.

According to eye witness reports fire crews entered the building in full masked kit to eliminate the fire.

It’s not yet known if anyone was hurt in the blaze and an investigation into the cause has now been launched.
