Teens robbed at knifepoint as expensive bike stolen

Police are hunting two unidentified individuals after a young couple were robbed at knifepoint in Southport last night.

Two teenagers, a young boy and girl, were walking down Southport Promenade when they were accosted by two teenage boys  who demanded the boy turn over his beloved bike.

The pair threatened them with a blade, believed to be a shop bought kitchen knife, before making off with the bike in the direction of Morrisons.

Police are appealing for anyone who may recognise the bike or those who were witnesses to the armed robbery to call Merseyside Police on 101 immediately
