Teenagers rescued from rising tides on Southport beach
Two teenagers have been rescued from Southport beach after becoming stuck in rising tides this evening ( Thursday 1 June).
The pair found themselves in a patch of mud although they were not in immediate danger.
Southport Offshore Rescue were called, along with other emergency services at they were cut off by Pier Channel north of Southport Pier.
The teens were eventually rescued and brought back to the sea wall where they were checked by by the RNLI beach lifeguards.
