Taxi rear ended in Birkdale

Police and paramedics have been called to Liverpool Road in Birkdale this afternoon, Saturday 7 March 2020.

A taxi was shunted at speed near to the junction with Carr Lane just after noon today.

The driver of the cab needed urgent medical attention following the smash and first responders arrived shortly after.

The driver was assessed for injuries at the scene and is thought to have suffered severe whiplash as a result
