A Birkdale High teacher has been left red faced after a virtual assembly went drastically wrong.
The unnamed staff member had gone out of their way to put together a special virtual assembly video for their pupils with it then being it sent out to an entire year group.
Unfortunately for the teacher they forgot to end the video before off camera letting out a poorly timed expletive laden remark about a family pet.
The comment, which was left in the video and accidentally shown to hundreds of pupils in a year group, allegedly remarked “oh the cat has f*cking pi**ed everywhere!”
The teacher has since written to all parents personally to apologise for the remarks.
Their apology stated “during my first attempt at a pre-recorded assembly that I recorded yesterday and the boys watched this morning some boys may have heard me use an inappropriate term.
“This was a genuine mistake as I thought I had stopped recording.
“This is far below the standards I set for myself and the boys in my year group and I can only apologise.
“I wanted to be open about this and let you know before your son came home.”
Birkdale High School did not respond to a request for comment.
