Sussex road closed following an accident this morning.

Fire services are currently cutting a woman out of her car after a collision on Sussex road, Southport this morning, Tuesday 18 July 2017.

Emergency crews were called to the junction of Hall Road and Sussex Road to reports of a crash between a Renault and a Jaguar shortly after 9:15am.

Fire crews had to cut the female Jaguar driver free from her car following the crash and she is now being assessed by paramedics for her injuries.

The road has not yet reopened and delays are expected while the scene is cleared away. Police are also on scene.
