Suspicious van spotted ‘casing homes’ in Birkdale

Residents in Birkdale and Hillside are being asked to be wary of white van men who have been reported to be acting suspiciously in the area.

A white Mercedes Sprinter has been seen at a number of houses driving slowly down each road with the vehicles occupants appearing to look up and down driveways.

The suspicious actions have drawn attention to the van and now people in the Birkdale area are being asked to be on the lookout for the van.

Police have said they are aware of reports but cannot begin an investigation on heresay.
