Bayern Munich must make do without Jamal Musiala for this weekend’s crunch Bundesliga clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Bayern Munich has suffered a big blow in their season as Vincent Kompany’s team will not have the likes of Jama Musiala for the next few games.
Musiala is set to miss the Bundesliga contest due to injury. The club has revealed that the talented playmaker is dealing with a hip injury and will thus be sidelined for now.
Fans who are regulars in the secondary ticket marketplace have all taken to the community pages to pledge support for the youngster and offer encouragement for him to recover faster.
Jamal to Also Miss International Duty
Musiala has also pulled out of the Germany squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Netherlands. Julian Nagelsmann has called up VfB Stuttgart’s Jamie Leweling to replace the Bayern star.
The injury to Musiala is a blow for Bayern Munich as they look to return to winning ways after suffering their first defeat of the season on Wednesday against Aston Villa. The 21-year-old has made an excellent start to the season and has three goals and three assists to his name in eight appearances across all competitions.
Fans with tickets from the secondary ticket marketplace will be hoping that Musiala’s injury is not severe and that he can return to action soon. It is thought that he suffered the injury during last weekend’s home game against Bayer Leverkusen. Musiala came off the bench against Aston Villa.
It will be interesting to see Bayern line up in attack without Jamal Musiala in the upcoming games, as all with Bayern Munich tickets worry about the prospective replacement. One of Leroy Sané or Kingsley Coman could replace him in the starting XI, although Vincent Kompany could also tweak his system to compensate for Musiala’s absence.
Despite Jamal Musiala’s withdrawal due to a hip problem, Bayern Munich is well-represented in the German squad for the international games in October.
Serge Gnabry will be relieved to get back in the squad, but it could be an even more special international break for Bayern goalkeeper Alexander Nübel.
According to Bild, Nübel is set to get an opportunity to play in one of the two games during the international break. Julian Nagelsmann is planning to share the game time between Nübel and Oliver Baumann after first-choice goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen suffered a season-ending injury while playing for FC Barcelona.
Germany will face the Netherlands and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Nations League over the next two weeks. Baumann is the favorite to play more games in Ter Stegen’s absence, but Nübel can make a case for himself by doing well in training and the game he will play.
Bayern Loanee Nübel Misses German Squad
Nübel was unfortunate to miss out on the squad in the European championship despite excelling on loan at VfB Stuttgart. He was cut down from the provisional squad announced by Nagelsmann for the tournament. Nübel will look to make up for the lost time in the upcoming international break.
After finishing second in the Bundesliga last season, VfB Stuttgart has endured a slow start to the season. Nübel was one of the best goalkeepers in the division while playing for Stuttgart. However, after five league games, he has yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
While the onus is not entirely on Nübel to keep clean sheets, the German goalkeeper will hope to improve on last season and make a case for consistent playing time at Bayern from next season.
Bayern consider Nübel part of their long-term plans after his good loan spells at Monaco and VfB Stuttgart in the last three years. They agreed a long-term deal with him earlier this year before sending him out on loan to Stuttgart for two more years. Die Roten reportedly has a break clause in this deal.
Nübel remains a prime candidate for Manuel Neuer’s long-term replacement at Bayern. If Neuer decides to move on from Munich, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Bayern brings Nübel back next summer.
While the fans from the secondary ticket marketplace understand that Neur might be the toughest to replace in the Bayern squad, they know that it is coming way sooner.
Maybe by then, Nübel will be all ready for the #1 shirt. Otherwise, Kompany will have to look in the transfer market for a possible replacement. Fans with Bayern Munich tickets will hope that youngster will live up to the expectations.
For now, Nübel will look to impress Julian Nagelsmann and make a mark for the German national team during the international break.
Bayern CEO Impressed with Kompany
Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen took the opportunity to praise head coach Vincent Kompany in the locker room after the team dropped a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa in the Champions League.
The support was likely welcomed during a tough time. We will see if a rebound is on the horizon for this weekend’s Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The form of Bayern Munich’s forwards has been a sight to behold this season. Vincent Kompany has managed to get most of the forwards firing this season. Serge Gnabry has also benefitted from the Belgian coach’s arrival at Bayern.
Gnabry needed a positive start to the campaign after struggling with injuries last season. He struggled with different injuries throughout last season, which didn’t allow him to build any rhythm on the pitch.
Going into the summer, there were significant doubts about Gnabry’s future at Bayern. The Bavarian club was reportedly open to listening offers for him. Newcastle United showed interest in the German forward, but he was determined to stay in Munich and get back to his best after a disappointing season.
Gnabry has been productive for Bayern in the final third this season. The 29-year-old winger has contributed two goals and two assists in six appearances across all competitions. Along with productivity in the final third, Gnabry has been very good off the ball, helping Bayern win the ball higher up the pitch.
After enjoying a good start to the season, Gnabry still hopes to get back into the German squad.
On Tuesday (via iMiaSanMia), he told the media that he was bitter about not being able to play at the Euros for Germany. The German winger was on the sidelines during the summer due to a hamstring injury. This was disappointing news to the fans with Bayern Munich tickets since they hoped this season would be his comeback season.
The 29-year-old winger is unlikely to be part of the squad for the international games in October. However, if he remains consistent with his performances and productivity, Gnabry could get a call-up from DFB for the games in November.
With Michael Olise cementing a place in the starting XI, Gnabry is currently competing with Kingsley Coman for the left flank. The French winger has not been at his best, giving Gnabry opportunities to play regularly in the coming weeks. Gnabry has specifically done well against English clubs, so he will hope to get on the scoresheet against Aston Villa later today.
