John Wilson of Wilson Autobodies was in his Shakespeare Street works shop(Saturday 20) when he received a call to tell him a young child had been accidentally locked in their parents car outside Premier Bow, Ocean Plaza.
John and his team arrived on scene within minutes – managing to pick the lock in under five minutes.
The baby was in distress whilst locked in alone, but thankfully it all calmed when in arms of a very grateful family.
John said: “These things don’t happen often and I was surprised to get phone call only weeks after having a very similar incident in Tesco.
“As a father myself you feel so connected to incidents like this. Accidents such as this could happen at any time and you can’t begin to imagine how worried the family was!
“We were just happy that the baby was safe and well and we got the job done as quickly as possible!
