Steph’s story
My lovely daddy died very suddenly in November 2014. He wasn’t ill, he had a sudden onset of a bad back and then within 6 hours he was gone. Over 6 months on and we’re still in shock that he could be taken so quickly from an infection no one knew he had.
I have been pondering how I could do a fundraising event when I am allergic to exercise (ahem) & I remembered a lady from instagram had chopped her hair off for The Little Princess Trust. They use the hair to make wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer. I will need to chop at least 8 inches off and will be donating my actual hair to them.
My hair is my pride and joy. I’ve only ever had a trim for the last 20 years. It is thick and long and I get so many comments about it. I feel sick at the thought of losing so much but it will grow back (I hope) and I can help two amazing causes.
Dad was always threatening to chop all my hair off, so dad, this one’s for you. Xxx
