The children of St Cuthbert’s Pre-school have successfully raised over £500 for BBC Children in Need, after holding Big Spotacular events to support the 2017 Appeal. The money will go on to help transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
The children carried out their own Spot Challenge – ‘Wacky Races’ – where they were sponsored to perform laps of the garden (max 5) upon their own choice of vehicle (car, bike, or scooter). They also celebrated by wearing spots, counting spots, face painting, decorating cakes and holding a Pudsey Picnic.
Speaking of their efforts, Margaret Wignall (Pre-school Manager) said: “We’re overwhelmed with the response we had doing our Spotacular ‘Wacky Races’ and would like to say a huge thank you to all those who took part! It was great fun supporting BBC Children in Need again this year and to know that we’ve raised so much is a fantastic feeling.”
