Spice man worries shop staff as he passes out in Street
Security staff are facing a conundrum after a known beggar was found covered in blood and high on spice outside Superdrug on Eastbank, Southport Street this afternoon (Wednesday 9 August 2017).
The homeless man, who is a familiar face to many as a regular beggar on the streets of Southport, was pictured by an OTS reader collapsed and semi conscious outside the beauty store, while his bloodied hands caused fears he may have been beaten.
However it was later discovered the male had ingested ‘spice’ earlier in the day and was now suffering the dangerous after effects of the controversial drug. However despite pleas from shoppers to get the man shifted away from the store frontage, security guards said they were reluctant to do anything in fears that they may come into contact with the mans blood.
