Southport’s new state of the art cultural centre closed

Southport’s new state of the art cultural centre was closed this morning for a period of time (Monday 2 February 2015).

This was so that staff could be consulted on possible cuts to the services provided and their jobs.

This has arisen due to the cut in funds provided by central government. At the end of this latest settlement the Coalition will have reduced the money it gives to Sefton by 48%.
