The town hall gardens was buzzing with the sound of line dancing on bank holiday Sunday, as volunteers put their best feet forward to raise hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Secretary and treasurer of the Macmillan Cancer Support Southport Committee Pamela Walmsley said:
“The weather was kind to us again, fine and dry and event was attended by lots of our regular line dancers and spectators.
“All of them were very generous with donations into our bucket collection and supporting the raffle.
“We are delighted to say the total raised was £2,021.89, an amazing amount which will be used to help Macmillan to continue providing its valuable services of care and support for cancer patients and their families, particularly to those living in our area.”
