Southport’s Home Instead is ‘Outstanding’ on ‘Caring’
The Care Quality Commission has given Southport’s ‘Home Instead’ Domiciliary Care Service an ‘outstanding’ categorisation in the field of ‘Caring’ in their latest report.
Local Lib Dem adult care spokesperson Councillor Tony Dawson says:
“CQC inspections, like OfSTED inspections, can sometimes be a bit ‘hit and miss’ and I do not set too much store on a single inspection. However, these people do not hand out ‘outstanding’ to just anyone – indeed, they do not hand out that many ‘outstanding’ marks at all.”
“So, for ‘Home Instead’ to receive an overall ‘good’ across the board including an ‘outstanding’ for caring is a fine achievement and recommendation and we should congratulate all of those involved, from the management to the individual care workers who make the real difference to the lives of individual clients.”
