Southport Writing Group Finds Their Voice!
Southport Writer’s Circle will be hosting a ‘Voice’ Workshop on Thursday 26th April from 8pm at Parenting 2000. The free event will be exploring the art of discovering your authorial and character’s voice and everyone is welcome.
Writers Dennis Conlon and Sean Heslin will each be offering helpful advice, tips and critique on how to style your writing to give both your character’s and authorial voice some panache!
The Southport Writer’s Circle has been around since the early 1970s and has had some prolific and exemplary writers through its doors. Dennis Conlon is better known as an actor in shows such as Shameless, Waterloo Road and Casualty, but has also established himself as an expert writer with his books Sex, Gods and Rock and Roll: Curse of the Juju Bird Gods and The Wrath of Marie’s God Almighty.
Southport Writer’s Circle Chairman Sean Heslin is also a regular contributor to BBC Radio Merseyside’s Winter Tales in which his heart-warming stories of Blinky the Elf and Rudolph have entertained and delighted listeners.
“This event will provide an excellent opportunity for aspiring writers and experts alike to practise important skills that will help them establish themselves within the literary market” says Chairman, Sean Heslin.
The Southport Writer’s Circle meets every Thursday from 8pm at Parenting 2000 on Mornington Road. For full event details please visit the Southport Writer’s Circle Facebook page.
