Southport Trinity U9s Kick Off New Season In Fashion
Jimmy Kelly’s Southport Trinity under 9s kicked off the 2018/19 season with two convincing victories, first was away to Formby JFC on the opening weekend of the season.
Last weekend the Southport side entertained Greenloons Formby FC at the Rookery and again won with ease.
Trinity pundit, Frank Kearney said: “It was great pitch to play on and the boys passed it about really well first half.
“In the second half not so good once the boys reached double figures in goals scored. As they were coasting the boys turned into individuals in spells, wanting to take too many players on and not delivering telling passes when it was easy to do so.
“When the boys pass it about they are a very good team, so let’s get that side of the game going throughout each match.
“Mentions for Felix Rodwell who again was solid at the back and always looked for an intelligent out pass.”
“Bailey Kelly again for some great running and movement with the ball and Andrew for his 5 goals and hard work up and down our left.”
The unbeaten Trinity side travel south on Sunday to take on another unbeaten side Crosby Stuart JFC.
