Southport town centre Boutique blame closure on high rates and low footfall

A message on the Boutique’s Facebook page says:

Lucy Lou’s Boutique would like to thank all of our customers old and new for supporting us through 2 years of business.

Unfortunately the time has come for us to close our high street doors this weekend. This is due to high rates & the towns new parking charges.

As you will have noticed this has also affected other small businesses in the town centre forcing many to close, leaving Southport’s footfall lower than previous years.

Online has proved busier & more cost effective, we will continue to trade online from the start of the new year!

We will still have all of our social media pages which you can order from!
All credit notes/gift vouchers will be honoured this weekend in store.
There is £10 and under SALE in store!

We will miss you all from the bottom of our hearts as we became such good friends with you all.
We can’t thank you enough, please stick with us through our journey online and keep following us to see Lucy Lou’s Boutique’s next adventure

Love Lucy Lou’s Staff xxx
