Southport teenager embarks on India charity trek

A Southport teenager has landed in India today as he prepares to walk hundreds of miles for charity.

Johnny Ball, 19, is walking for seven gruelling days in Asian heat along the Godavari River to raise money for the Doorstep School Mumbai and Brain Tumour UK.

The Godavari River is the second longest in India at a staggering 1,500km long meaning Johnny will walk nearly a thousand miles in scorching heat.

He will hopefully complete the challenge on May 7th.

OTS News will keep you posted on his progress.
