Southport swimmer scoops medals at Commonwealth Games

Southport’s Holly Hibbot is carrying on the town’s proud history of producing medal winning swimmers after scooping Bronze and Silver medals in the commonwealth games.

Hibbot from Southport was part of the relay team that scooped bronze in the 4×200 relay in Australia.

But not to be outdone she managed to scoop an individual silver medal in the women’s 400m freestyle this week.

She follows in the footsteps of Southport’s Fran Halsall as a prolific sandgrounder and medal winning swimmer
