Parents across Southport have been notified by a text message of an attempted abduction of a year 7 boy, Thursday 3 December.
Farnborough Road Junior School issued a warning following an incident involving a pupil who was cycling home. 
Merseyside Police confirmed the report had been made but are not treating the incident as suspicious.
