Southport residents are being ripped off by allotment prices.
It costs hundreds of pounds to own an allotment in Southport according to resident Joy Fenton who recently found she was being ripped off.
Joy had tried to find an allotment in Southport only to discover she would have to pay more to own one in her hometown than if she bought one in Ormskirk or Liverpool.
Joy told OTS News: “I couldn’t believe the price compared to what Liverpool and West Lancs charge.
“It is so unfair and unjustified surely the idea of allotments is to help people to grow produce cheaply.”
