Southport Police Station Opening Hours Slashed

Opening hours at Southport Police Station’s general enquiry office have been reduced and the office won’t now be open at all on Sundays.

A review found that front linepolice officers were frequently having to provide cover in the enquiryoffices to keep them open to the public. This meant the force was
having to take police officers off the streets, preventing them responding to crimes.
