A Southport mum has this week become the face of the international campaign to get people to eat vegan.
As January approaches millions of people around the world will take on the ‘Veganuary’ challenge to eat healthier and focus on a plant-based diet, which involves cutting out all animal products and byproducts completely.
The campaign group ‘We Are Veganuary’ is leading the charge on this inspirational journey and have called in the support of Southport woman Christina Mather-Bateman, a prominent vegan campaigner and super mum, to help inspire more people to take up the vegan challenge.
Christina said she has suffered from severe allergic flare-ups all her life and doctors were at a loss to help her until she turned to Veganism.
Christina said: “To try and fit my story into a minute-long video was very hard.
“I’ve seen countless doctors, specialists, consultants and been hospitalised multiple times.
“Veganism has changed my life and I’m proud to speak up for @weareveganuary”
