MP Damien Moore has been out supporting the Royal British Legion in the Southport constituency.
Damien was joined by the Army and Navy Cadets and members of the Royal British Legion selling poppies in the Sainsbury’s supermarket store on Lord Street (November 11 2017)
The event was part of a week-long campaign to raise awareness for armed forces charities, support active and former servicemen and women, and remember those who have lost their lives in service to our country.
Damien said:
“Today marks the signing of the armistice and I have been out in Southport raising awareness for the Royal British Legion and to show support for those who have served and continue to serve in our Armed Forces.”
“It is absolutely right that we show our gratitude to those who have lost their lives in service to our country and I was delighted to do so alongside our local cadets who have raised a significant amount of money for a great cause.”
