PRIMINISTER Theresa May has “enduring support” from Conservative colleagues insists Southport MP Damien Moore.
His support follows a week of speculation regarding her continual tenure as Prime Minister. Damien Moore said Britain was at a “constitutional milestone” and constituents required strong local and national representation in the years ahead, not another election based upon “unfounded speculation.” Speaking to OTS News, he said a significant majority of MPs were supportive of the Prime Minister and fully committed to her governments objectives.
Damien said: “At a time when the country is facing its next constitutional milestone, this country needs a dedicated Prime Minister who appeals to a broad demographic and a government which focuses on the job in hand moving forward.”
“Despite the consternation surrounding her speech, the Prime Minister made some very promising announcements around housing, high energy prices and mental health, which were widely welcomed.”
“Her tenacity and willingness to proceed with her speech, despite numerous obstacles, is also a testament to her character and is admirable.”
“With this in mind, I fail to recognise any such talk of a leadership election and put it down to unfounded speculation.
” Put to him whether there would be another leadership election, he replied: “No. Theresa May is a fantastic Prime Minister with one of the largest vote shares in recent political history, and she is the right person to lead us through Brexit and beyond.”
“I think you will find the clear majority of MPs are fully behind the Prime Minister and want to see her getting on with the job in hand; making a success of Brexit; delivering the social reforms announced at conference; and providing security and continuity in the months and years ahead.”
“To this end, the Prime Minister Theresa May has my full support.
