Local financial advisor, Roy Ellis, is embarking on his first Great North Run this Sunday 13th September in honour of his Grandad Tom and in memory of his late Nanna Pat. He is raising funds for Alzheimer’s Society as his Grandad Tom, 90, suffers from Alzheimers. Tom is cared for by his family and especially his daughter Angela. However Roy is keen to raise money for the charity to help others with the condition who are not so fortunate to having a loving family for support.
