Detectives working across the North of England executed a series of warrants today as part of an ongoing case to crack a suspected human trafficking ring.
Multiple individuals were arrested today including a 43 year old man from Southport.
Police raided an address in Southport before detaining and arresting the man on suspicion of human trafficking for sexual exploitation.
He was the sixth arrest of the day after five other people were caught by detectives after a police raid on a suspected brothel in a County Durham town.
The pre-planned warrants have been carried out with the support of Merseyside Police and the North East Regional Organised Crime Unit.
