Kind hearted members of the Southport Kidney Fund say they are proud and honored to have been able to present a cheque to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital Renal Unit for a staggering £28,300.
Chairperson Erica Stanley told OTS News “The money we have donated has been raised for us by many incredibly kind people and businesses across Southport and surrounding areas to be able to make things like this possible for kidney patients.
“The money we have donated will go towards vital equipment for the dialysis unit at Alder Hey where one of our patients Zac Stanley receives his dialysis treatment.
“By talking with Zac and his family we soon realized the support that the unit needed, and we were more than happy to help and support the Alder Hey Dialysis Unit.
“We at SKF want to spread awareness about chronic kidney disease and support as many people with kidney failure as we can.
“And thanks to all the kindness and support we have received we can continue to make this happen for all our patients old and new and we can continue to support kidney research.
“We are humbled, and we are grateful.”
