Furious motorists in Southport say they are baffled that supermarkets and petrol stations across the town are still charging over 100 pence for a litre of fuel while in nearby Liverpool prices are 90p or even less
Furious drivers say they are being conned out of cash in order to top up the money supermarkets are losing from no shoppers.
In Belle Vale Morrisons Petrol station a litre of fuel is 90p while in Southport it remains above 100.
Despite drivers not being able to go anywhere, they say this move is a rip off to empty the wallets of the more well off in Southport.
