Thousands of visitors are expected over the FREE, three day, annual Southport Food and Drink festival at Victoria Park, from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 May.
Open from 10am to 6pm every day, visitors will be able to choose dishes and delicacies from around the world.
Street food stalls will be selling food and drink including ostrich burgers, curry, pizza, burritos and buffalo wings.
Visitors will also be treated to chef demonstrations where they will be able to see the latest skills and expert tips on Indian, Thai, Spanish and British dishes, plus sausage and ice cream making.
There will also be a variety of local and regional produce, fresh and ready for visitors to take away and enjoy at home.
Drinks on offer vary, from non-alcoholic such as traditional tea and coffee to healthy smoothies. Or for the more adventurous, alcoholic lemonade, local cider, cocktails, craft beer and Pimms are available.
And for the younger visitors, the kid’s zone will provide plenty of entertainment from face painting and various crafts to circus workshops and food themed story telling.
Mark Catherall, Sefton Council’s Tourism Manager, said, “Once again thousands of foodie fans will be flocking to Victoria Park over the three days to sample some fabulous food, drink and entertainment. We look forward to welcoming people of all ages to this superb free festival.”
