Dino Maamria is aiming high over the Christmas festive fixture period with the Port boss taking his inform squad into the Christmas spell looking to gain the upperhand over Wrexham and Barrow. Southport travel to the Racecourse Ground on Boxing Day before taking on Barrow (December 28th) and Wrexham (January 2nd) at the Merseyrail Community Stadium.

Dino Maamria takes training at the JMO Sports Park on Christmas eve. The Port manager has an increased squad to select from with Andy Bishop back after a three match suspension and Connor McCarthy now returned from his Telford loan spell. On loan Preston striker Jack Ryan is ruled out with a hamstring pull with skipper Luke Foster missing the last two matches with a foot injury.
