Southport FC | Charlie Oliver and George Newell have both signed extended contracts

Southport FC are delighted to confirm that Charlie Oliver and George Newell have both signed extended contracts with the club.

Charlie has signed until May 2021 and George has agreed a contract through to May 2022.

Charlie has made nine starts and nine sub appearances this season and George has made seven starts with four as sub and has found the back of the net on six occasions.

Manager Liam Watson said ” It’s great to get another two of the lads committed to the club, both Charlie and George have settled in well and this is a reward for the hard work and effort they have shown. Charlie gives me plenty of options and can play across the back line and, as has been shown this season he has slotted into the midfield and been comfortable there as well. George is a lad that will only get better as he plays games for us and he has shown us he has a real eye for goal”
