SOUTHPORT FC Captain signs for Alfreton Town 

Southport FC can announce that David Lynch has completed a transfer to fellow National League North side, Alfreton Town for an undisclosed fee.

Making 34 appearances in the league and half-a-dozen in cup competitions, the current Captain has been at the club for just short of twelve months.

Southport FC said: We would like to thank David for his effort, commitment and passion whilst playing for the Port and wish him well in his future career.

As part of the agreement, the 25 year-old will not be able to feature for the Reds against Southport this season.

An announcement on the new Club Captain and Vice Captain will be made in due course.
