Southport FC are calling for the town’s support today as they continue their playoff push in the Vanarama National League North.
Southport currently sit sixth in the table and are unbeaten in the league for their last 13 games, in a run stretching back to October.
The Sandgrounders welcome Guiseley to Haig Avenue this afternoon, with tickets available HERE for a 3pm kick off. Match tickets can be purchased on the day from the club shop but with queues expected, the club strongly recommends purchasing in advance.
Guiseley arrive on the back of a fine 3-2 home win against Alfreton on Tuesday which saw them move up a place into 19th. It was their fifth win of the season two of which have come on their travels at Chester and Telford. Southport won 2-0 at Nethermoor in December with Marcus Carver and Josh Hmami on the scoresheet.
At halftime on Saturday the club’s guest of honour, Steve Dickinson will be inaugurated into the Southport FC Hall Of Fame and receive his award on the pitch. We are sure “Dicko” will be warmly recognised by both sets of fans having played with great distinction for both clubs.
The club has also in recent days secured contract extensions to senior players Connor Woods, Cameron Mason, Charlie Oliver, Jack Doyle, Dylan Vassallo and Niall Watson, Josh Hmami and Charli Munrow, giving the club some much needed stability ahead of next season.
