Southport dancers hand picked for RED tour

A dance troupe from Southport have been poached by a renowned Liverpool producer for an upcoming tour of REDz

A hunger of small community dance groups from the town have been contacted by Liverpool-based producer Karen Gallagher (MBE) to take parting in the Ormskirk performance of internationally touring dance theatre piece RED by Liz Lea.

The piece is warm, humorous and challenging work about the artist’s journey through diagnosis and treatment for Endermetriosis.

All the Southport dancers are in their 50s and 60s. They are a magnificent group of strong women and have learned the piece in only 4 rehearsals. The show is on Tuesday 10th March, 7.30pm at the Rose Theatre at Edge Hill University.
