Cyclists in Southport are being urged to stay visible on the road for their own safety.
Merseyside Police officers and roads policing are highlighting the importance of cyclists wearing reflective clothing and using lights to be visible, especially during the dark mornings and afternoons and in poor weather conditions.
Community Policing Inspector Graham Fisher said:
“Wear- ing light coloured or reflective clothing and putting good quality lights on the front and back of your bike increases your visibility and the safety of you and others on our roads.”
