A Southport bookstore has gone viral after revealing it finally sold a book which had been sitting on its shelves for nearly 28 years.
Staff at Broadhursts Bookshop on Market Street finally sold the Children’s Biography of Willian the Conqueror after it had been sitting on the shelves gathering dust since May 1991, over 27 years since it was first put out for sale.
The shop made the incredible revelation on twitter and it has now gone round the world as a viral sensation.
Broadhurst’s owner said” I have just sold a book that we have had in stock since May 1991. We always knew its day would come.”
