Southbank Road closed after targeted attack

Southbank Road in Southport remains closed this evening after what residents described as a targeted attack (Saturday 16 December).

The incident happened at approximately 8.30pm at the junction of Westmorland Road.

A white Ford Fiesta was recovered from the scene for police forensics.

The condition of injured are not currently known.

The road remains closed.
