Community Support officer patrols appear to have been increased following reports that drug use is widespread outside St John Stone Catholic church on Sandbrook Way.
Anxious residents at local flats adjacent to the church are believed to have complained of disruptive and antisocial conduct in the location, especially in the evenings.
Weed packets, needles, broken wine bottles and beer cans have been littered outside the church on many occasions. Youths have also congregated in unruly gangs allegedly awaiting regular drug drops from dealers in the area. This unacceptable anti – social situation had been happening for a long time, yet the law enforcement authorities and councillors have largely it seems been unable (or unwilling) to stop it.
Reporting it!
There may be times when you want to report an incident, or give information to help solve crimes, but you don’t want anyone to know who you are.
If this is the case you can call Crimestoppers. They are a UK charity, independent of the police, which means if you call them, you won’t have to give your name. It also means you won’t have to give evidence or go to court.
