Skip lorry driver has a rubbish morning

A skip driver had a rubbish start to his Tuesday after smashing into Peel Street bridge.

Emergency services have now closed off the road while a safety assessment is carried out and debris is cleared up.

The bridge is no stranger to wagon related calamity and regularly drivers of HGVs will be seen to risk the low height warning.

The red faced truck driver stopped at the scene and is currently helping Police with their enquiries.
