Shoplifter caught after London Street chase

Have a go heroes tackled a suspected shoplifter to the floor, causing the suspect to suffer nasty cuts to his knee.

Staff from nearby shops on Chapel Street chased the male through town before tackling him to the ground outside Man Barbers on London Street.

It’s believed he was trying to take display phones and accessories from a mobile phone store on Chapel Street.

He was detained by PCSOs before being taken away for questioning
