Shoplifter arrested in Sainsbury’s Southport 

Merseyside police were called to Sainsbury’s on Lord Street, Southport after security staff intercepted an attempted theft, Thursday 24 November 2016.

Police turned up within minutes of staff raising the alarm. Officers questioned the man on the premises then took him in handcuffs to Southport’s nearest custody suite in Liverpool.
