A fresh campaign has been launched by Sefton Council to breathe fresh life into the borough ’s parks, coastline, countryside and any other green spaces.
Green Sefton, which is the local authority’s service that looks after these areas, wants to hear from local people who would be willing to offer ‘expressions of interest’ on green spaces and suggest ways to use them that will benefit the community and visitors.
Some of the ideas already pitched to the council includes creating a coffee shop or ice cream parlour in a park, or setting up a dog grooming business on the beach.
The council believes this will help encourage new investment and opportunities to sites across Sefton, working in partnership with ‘Friends of’ and other community groups.
These sites include the Botanic Gardens, Crosby Coastal Park, North Park, South Park and a number of other places across the borough.
