Have you seen this man? We want to speak to Stanley McBrien in relation to an ongoing attempted murder investigation

Detectives investigating the attempted murder of a 25-year-old man in Willoughby Road, Waterloo on Friday 9 November are appealing for information to find a man we wish to speak to in connection with the investigation.

25-year-old Stanley McBrien is from the Crosby area. He is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, of proportionate build, with short brown hair, blue eyes, and speak with a Liverpool accent.

Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said: “Although we have arrested a number of people in connection with this incident, and charged three men, our investigation continues.

“We believe that McBrien may have information to assist so I would urge him, or anyone who knows his current whereabouts, to come forward. You can speak to us directly, or anonymously through Crimestoppers, which is completely independent of the police.”

25-year-old Edward Crompton, of Bowland Drive, Litherland; 36-year-old Thomas Barnes, of Crosby Road South, Seaforth; and 28-year-old Ben Shields, of Commercial Road, Liverpool, have been charged with attempted murder and are in custody to next appear on Tuesday, 23 April 2019 at Liverpool Crown Court.
